Trying to set up a wireless router. I was told to buy a USB Adapter (Linksys) but reviews show that it disconnects quite often. I purchased the PCI Adapter but I don’t have a slot for it – can this be made?

I have a Linksys Router WRT54G, I unplugged the power supply and completely reset it. The button that you press is orange and not white. I typed 192.168.1.1 into my browsers address bar and typed in: admin, in the username and password, and it comes up 401 Unauthorized. What can I do, I need to change the SSID and secure the network, I know how to do that.

Step by step: 1. Turn your dsi on 2. Go to system settings 3. Go 2 times to the right 4. Touch Internet 5. Touch Connection Settings 6. Touch Advanced Setup 7. Touch a “None” 8. Touch the picture of Wi-Fi protected setup 9. Press the red circled button u saw in the video on your router and hold it until it says: setup complete or something like that 10. U did it!!! I cant set up my wireless router. I have a Linksys WRT54GS Router and a Motorla 2210 modem (I think thats the problem). When I connect my modem to my router and try to set up the wireless network, it says it’s set up but theres no active internet connection. I’ve tried to bridge the modem and it doesnt help at all. Help…

Hopefully my question makes sense. I brought my laptop home and none of us can figure out the password for me to connect to the wireless internet here, linksys. Any suggestions? Is there a way to find out what it might be from the computer the Linksys router is connected to?
