My Desktop crashed and had it repaired, but I would like to use my labtop also. In order for my Linksys router to work do I need to install a driver on my desktop?

The other day I pressed the wrong button on my router, and since then it has not worked properly. It will not let my computer connect to the internet. If I click on the "Diagnose Problems" thing on the connection page, it says the connection is broken. The wireless Internet works with my iPod, the computer just won’t connect. I have a Linksys WRT120N wireless router.

I have a Dell Desktop with Windows XP on it with no internet on it yet. My main desktop has Roadrunner and my laptop has wireless. How do i set up internet on my Dell using the Linksys Wireless B Network adapter model number WUSB11v4?
i dont have the installation cd

I plugged in the blue internet cord to my computer and the router, the inter cord the the modem and the router, and all the other cords are plugged in. The only problem is, the CD drive on my computer WON’T open to im not able to put in the linksys cd that you agree to software use and everything and configuration. Do you NEED to put in that CD for the wifi to work ?

I have a router in my house that is used by three computers: two macbooks and a PC. However, despite a 20mb connection it doesn’t run so good, even if people are just surfing generally. If you plug the computer directly into the modem then it works superbly well.

I’ve heard that it’s worth trying out third party software and not to use the actual Linksys software, but I don’t really know how to go about doing that.

I want to get a linksys router for my playstation 3 to connect to internet and playstation network, but the ethernet slot on my laptop is already taken by my satellite internet connection, so do you need the ethernet slot or an ethernet cable?

I want to setup Linux CentOS 5.3 server from home and install everything needed to host a websites from home. I currently have dynamic IP but it stays the same as long as I do not unplug my cable modem for a long time.
I did simple install of CentOs using defaults but when I try to input my IP it directs me to Linksys setup screen and asks for admin password. Anyone can help me out here?

I want a DSL firewall/router with WiFi, 4 Ethernet ports, and in-router VPN for having a permenent connection to my work (so I can run an IP phone and whatnot).

So, the Linksys WRV200 and WRV54G seem to be the way to go, but there’s a 2x price difference, versus 0.

But the only differences I see are:
– 10 VPN sessions versus 50
– WRV200 calls them "QuickVPN" versus VPN
– Different packaging
– Maybe one versus two antennas?
– WRV200 has RangeBooster, but the more expensive WRV54G does not.

Those don’t seem to justify the 2x price difference, so I feel I’m missing something.

Can they both act as VPN servers?

What is QuickVPN versus normal VPN?

It’s actually the WRV200 that has 2 antennas, again making it suprising that it’s the cheaper one.

Also, do they essentially run the same Linksys firmware — not the exact same version, but do they both have the same Linksys interface that most of their products do?

I have a Linksys WGA11B wireless router which i used to wirelessly give my xbox connection. I have recently upgraded from comcast to fios and now have to reconfigure this router to my new fios box. I do not have the disk and am in need of help.
