Do you need an ethernet cable to connect a Linksys router with a Playstation 3?

I want to get a linksys router for my playstation 3 to connect to internet and playstation network, but the ethernet slot on my laptop is already taken by my satellite internet connection, so do you need the ethernet slot or an ethernet cable?

It depends on the model of the play station 3 you have, if you got it recently then it has wireless capillarity to it, read the box manual and info to see if it has wireless capillarity, if so all you’d need to do is configure the router, if it dose wireless to sync with your ps3, if not then you’d need to use that eithernet cord.
