I have a linksys router model number WRT54G. It is a 4 port router. I want to connect the lexmark x 83 Printer to my notebook somehow so I can print wirelessly.
How can I connect my Lexmark x83 printer to my wireless linksys router?

there are only 2 ways you can print without a direct connection to your computer:
1. the printer must be a network printer. it must have an ethernet interface. in this case you simply plug in the printer to the router and print through ip or however it is pc’s do network printing. i think they have a network printing wizard.
2. you need to purchase a seperate print server. some fancier routers will have a built in print server. it’s basically a device that plugs into the router and has usb connections for a printer. it’s fairly simple to set up.
it sounds like you will need the latter. i don’t think the lexmark x83 is a network printer.
