I just set up a linksys b router and the adapter connected to my xbox says no signal. I dont know if i am setting it up wrong or what?

It should work so it might be your settings.
Also, I believe it is actually not recognized by the wireless config on the dashboard because it’s not MS. It would be considered just a "cable" connection but in reality is wireless.
You might want to try using the channel button on the game adapter and set it to profile 1 instead of channel 6.
