This is basically a look at my new router and the speed I am getting at about 100 feet. My old WRT54GS router did not work with my new laptop. It’s probably better that I got a new router anyway. My old one ran every day for about 2.5 years and it was “G” type. The new “N” type routers are far, far better. I was told by the guy at Best Buy to get a NetGear or Belkin, but I have used Linksys for years. I imagine the WRT160N will be fine. I have read good reviews on it.
